Neoclassicism in the interior of the bedroom
Quite often, rooms of respectable hotels are decorated in the neoclassical style. And for good reason – this direction in design harmoniously combines conservatism, elegance and fashion trends. This style is perfect for the interior of the bedroom. Calm, but luxurious, it will emphasize your status and allow you to relax in a wonderful atmosphere.
Neoclassicism in the interior
Unlike strict classics, neoclassicism allows introducing the latest innovations and trends into interior design, expands the choice of materials and generally opens up more room for imagination. Here, everything is also based on symmetry, calm colors, simplicity of forms and grace of lines, but neoclassicism is perceived more easily and naturally. In the neoclassical bedroom there can be a large plasma TV and a round bed, a multi-tiered ceiling and a wardrobe. But at the same time the design of the room should remain in the traditional style.
Color spectrum
If you like calm, pastel colors, then the bedroom in the neoclassical style you will surely like. There can be no question of too bright, defiant colors. This style reveals in all its glory such shades as ivory, beige, champagne, mother-of-pearl-gray, sand, cream. You can also use pastel blue, smoky, white, as well as all shades of brown. In a word, the classic palette comes into force.
Walls, floor and ceiling
In principle, there are no strict rules regarding finishing in this case. If the classic obliges to use only natural materials, then neoclassicism allows some liberties in this matter. For example, if you have the opportunity and desire to lay parquet – fine. If not, then you can use laminate. The walls in this interior, as a rule, are decorated with pilasters and / or moldings (if you do not know what it is, we recommend reading the article on the terms most commonly used in the field of interior design). Very good here are wall panels, wallpaper with stripes or small patterns, as well as textured plaster. As for the design of the ceiling, it should be beautiful. If you do not like a multi-level ceiling made of plasterboard with lighting (or the distance from the floor to the ceiling is not so great), then you can decorate the surface with stucco molding – this is very fashionable now. And, of course, there must be a luxurious chandelier – without it, the neoclassical bedroom is simply unthinkable.
Bedroom furniture in the neoclassical style
On the one hand, classic wooden furniture is perfect here: “pot-bellied” pedestals on bent legs, elegant dressing tables decorated with monograms, console tables … But at the same time, as we have already said, a wardrobe can also be relevant here and rather strict but big bed. By the way, the headboard of the bed is always a neoclassical bedroom decoration. Whether it will be just a high soft headboard or a real masterpiece of artistic forging – you choose.
Decor
Neoclassicism in the interior “loves” mirrors, the brilliance of gold and silver and a competent lighting script that would make all of it flicker and emphasize the richness of textures. Quite often in the neoclassical bedrooms you can see the capitone (carriage fastener) – it will become a worthy decoration of the room and make its design visually richer. In general, textiles play a huge role in this direction. Take at least the curtains – in this case they are required. Moreover, the canvas should be of heavy material and go to the floor.
